Grammar reminders to help you study the part of speech for each word:
Verbs: actions words that usually have the word "to" in front of them in their definition (example: tantalize- to tease)

Noun: a person, place, thing or idea; look for them to have an article in front of them in their definition--a, an, the (example: alien- a foreigner)

Adjectives: describe nouns (example: His homework was illegible; I couldn't read it. Illegible is describing the thing, or noun, homework)

Friday's vocabulary quiz will be multiple choice. As we discussed in class today, you do not have to study spelling. The quiz will have 20 word to definition matching questions, 20 complete the sentence multiple choice questions, and 10 part of speech questions.
